Hi Jon,
You never know. I once bought a "lot" of 5" drives, for the #17
steppers, precision bearings and shafts, opto-switches, even stepper
driver chips. Even had some nice DC spindle motors! Some were made to
"change disks", I think.
Now that I recall, the 8" drives used 115 VAC for the spindle motors.
Better parts on the early Teac and Tandon drives.
