Hi Larry,
I wouldn't be too worried about connecting the HP supplies in series (we
had them connected for +- 15v analog supplies on the beastie they came
out of), but I'd be a little worried about the PC supplies! You're
right, meter them out, it could work!
Linear supplies can usually be connected in series, but they should be
"identical" supplies, or of similar current ratings.
Currently, ;>) I have a STACK of 28v, 6A transformers, and I'm using
them to build my supplies. Now to find some quality CAPS!
