Vector ( http://www.imsrv.com/ ) does a nice job on lathe code. Has a lathe
cycle (OK so it is located in the pocket group on the menu) that generates
both the roughing and finish tool path for the part. Sort of wonder about
your desire to see the part in 3-D? I draw my lathe parts as a flat 2-D
curve and then let Vector handle the cuts. Never rotate the single curve to
create a 3-D item although Vector is certainly capable of doing that.
