You bring up one of the best kept secrets out there for the fellows looking
for a DXF to G-Code converter. FlashCuts demo has always done this. And like
you point out, Lets you do a lot more than just the toolpath information.
Scaling, Line numbers, Decimal places, Clearance, Z depth even in increments,
0,0 location of import, Feedrates including seperate Plunge and a selection
to mill or drill circles or holes.
You still wrestle with start stop and sequence issues. It's a great place to
start for people !
Of course it's a great control too !
