What are the relative merits of the various types of ball/lead screws/threads?
So far I've seen mention of steel, brass, plastic, normal(?), zero backlash of
several sorts including plastic types, and I think, coarse vs. acme threading,
etc. Lots of mention of strength, accuracy, weight handling, and longevity,
and so forth, but having no practical experience of them, I and probably others
here are left wondering.....
