Questioning the moderator, was Re: job shop auctions

I'm assuming Bill is the list moderator here(for some reason the
egroups interface doesn't give an intuitive way for this to be
checked). Assuming that is the case

1) The moderator has spoken, regardless of how informative you find
the thread, further posts to the list arguing the validity of the
topic are of no interest. If you really feel its appropriate, email
him privately and politely state your piece. Do not 'debate' the
issue, just politely ask him to reconsider and why you feel he should.
If he doesn't, drop it.

2) If you wish to question why this OT thread is singled out, rahter
than attacking publicly, again email privately. A public post will
simply make him defensive and not likely to consider your points. A
private post gives him a chance to address the issue in private.

If you disagree with my viewpoint on how to handle disagreements with
moderators, please email ME privately, gary.mort@..., and ream
me out there. Don't further an OT debate regarding an OT discussion
of an OT thread.
