RE: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] DC motor as replacement for Stepper motor

If you do a really good job of this, you're doing exactly what Compumotor
does in some of their controllers - use a Servo motor to emulate a stepper,
with the "controller" providing the conversion of step/direction into an
error signal for the servo loop.


|If you keep track of where the steps are supposed to go, and servo to that
|position using the encoder on the motor for feedback, you have a DC servo
|that is pretending to be a stepper from the POV of the computer.
