With the Gecko 320/340 drives and an encoder on the motor, it will do
everything a stepper will do, only better. The Gecko 320/340 series counts
step pulses from the computer, and compares the count to the position
indicated by the encoder. it applies power to the motor to make the
encoder follow the step pulses coming from the computer.
