Fred,
One of the machines at work uses the same series of controller (exc.1980
not '79) and the panel below the CRT is a lot less complicated, and the
6m series is even more basic.
It is on a Oerlikon/Boehringer VDF480 Chucker,with 6 tool turret, that
we bought from Boeing's toolroom 5 years ago.
I really, REALLY hope your machine does not have the cabinets of relays
that the VDF does, all controlled by the 6a.(12 relays to control the
manual jog.)
I'll try to post some pics tomorrow.
