Sounds like too much of work, but... an idea...
Enco has a bridgeport right angle R8-to-R8 adapter for vertical mills
that clamps to the quill to make it R8 horizontal. It comes with an
arbor and support too. Something like this might be adaptable to
the horizontal mill with care to keep things square. Its also R8
driven, so you will need to get an adapter to whatever the arbor
drive is and make a mounting bracket so it wont spin.
Sounds like a lot of work. I've seen these on Ebay too.

I've got one, and its for a quill thats 1" smaller circumference than
my mill so I need to make an adapter.
