What is "true of..."? Flux-trapping? It is also true for E-I construction,
although not quite as efficiently.

Solidly-stacked (no "air-gaps" in lay-up of E-I cores), ideally-insulated
layer-wound coils, high-grade "paper" (not sure of letter; "H"?).
Well-terminated winding-ends, whether "solder-tags" or lead-wires, done
RIGHT.

Visual quality is often indicator of "how GOOD it really is". But maybe, one
would need to have "seen a few, over the years" for this to be a valid
statement.
