Actually, there can be some EMI interference. I am not sure that it
will make any difference for a power supply. The tube audio people
will mount the output transformer 45 degrees relative to the power
supply tranny to reduce or eliminate audible interference indtroduced
into the audio transformer by the PS transformer. Shielding is
sometimes used, or separating the audio transformer physically from
the PS by some distance.
