Well, that's got to be the first time I've heard assembly language
called intuitive.

As a purely technical comment on the feasability of doing this, it
would be extremely trivial since this is just a one to one mapping
for different mneumonics.

One way to do this would be to define two files of DEFINEs, one in
the G->other, one in other->Gcode mappings and use the appropriate file
when running the code file through a C preprocessor.

Writing a program to do the translation would also be relatively trivial.

Is this a good idea? I'll stay out of that one; I can think of pros
and cons on both sides.
