"Machinist's Basic" - This is one of the better ideas that I've seen on this
board. You say that you want to make CNC more easily available neophytes
like myself. Well, Thanks to Mr. Gates and his Visual Basic (and QuickBasic
before that and MBasic before that), most folks have a passing knowledge of
the BASIC language. Why not start with the basic language and add primitives
to drive a motor? IMHO, although this might not be as "standard" as the APT
that you're writing about, I think it would be more widely accepted.
(Although, language bigot that I am, I'd prefer to see the same thing done
in Pascal! :)
