Yes. I tried to get Mariss and his staff to explain this in "layman's
terms", but they seem to be translating English from Farsi, or some-such.
The way that works is this: Say you select the "X10" position (where you put
the header inside). Then, you must send TEN pulses TO the driver to get
1/200th of a turn of the stepper out. AND, this "step" is very smooth, being
ten "micro-steps". Or, if you had chosen the "X2" header-position, that then
works like "half-stepping". If you put the header on the "X1" position, you
have to send 2000 pulses to the G210 to make the motor turn ONE revolution.
Makes for a much smoother motor-rotation, actually, once the
cerebral-challenge is overcome! Jan Rowland
