First question, What are you trying to run?
The parallel port will out put step and direction signals but you will need
driver cards to drive the stepper motors. What do you have for driver cards?
If they take step and direction input, that is all you need. If they need
phase signals like the Bridgeport SMD cards, you will need to translate the
step and direction signals to phase signals.
