Yes inded, the code to pass the speed variable is in there. I too have tried
to follow it's path. I am currently looking very closely at the emcmot
sources for another project, and am sure it wouldn't be too difficult to add
spindle speed control.
Just need to track down where the variable stops being used and take it from
there.

At this point, I will leave the subjuct, as it is probably getting outside of
the list's remit.
