Whew, that is actually not so hard. I thought you were thinking about
different motions for the multiple spindles. What you describe really is
not multiple Z axes, just multiple heads with offsets, either used as
ganged or just one at a time. Really, with just a little tweak to the
G-code, you can do this. Instead of using the work coordinate
offsets to define the position of multiple workpieces, you can use it
to define the offset of one spindle from the other.
