My Bridgeport Series II has box ways. They are just chromed iron on
chromed iron. The machine does have a central lube system but it is not
pressurized 100% of the time. I think in original configuration it gave
one shot of lube per hour of spindle on time. I am sure they have more
friction than roller breafings but surprizingly low if you use a proper
way lube.
