From this and Georges' previous post:

Hopefully you can see that things get difficult when we try to talk
of a "typical" construction for a machine part (box ways) which may
range from a few inches to many tens of feet in length; and which is
used in a machine from mouse size to house size(and bigger). Also
consider the words "expensive" and "big". Do they mean the same thing
to all of us when speaking about machines?
