I believe this was all related to a particular version of the Linux RT-patches,
and has been eliminated with updated kernels and RT-patch. There still
seems to be a problem with getting it started, sometimes EMC just won't start up,
and you have to keep trying. but, once you get it running, it seems to
work. This may also be sensitive to which motion modules and hardware
you are working with.
