Hi Richard,

Your not alone. I had the same problems too for about
six months. Everything seemed ok but all of asudden
one of my axis moved where it wanted to. It was so frustrating
I also lost some hair and many, many, many hours of sleep
just trying to troubleshoot the problem. I am no expert
but I will tell you what was wrong with my setup.

I crammed everything in an old computer but embarasingly
I must say I was using this computer to run my cnc.
I had wires all over. I corrected this by removing
every thing out of the old computer and placing
everything in a empty computer box and now it looks nice.

My wiring was not shielded- I put foil paper and the axis
did chang direction without moving any configurations. But
it was not consistant.I corrected this by replacing my
non shielded wires to shielded wires and grounding
one side only to the computer box.

Motor wiring was not wired correctly to my drives.
I don't know I made this mistake when I was doing
every thing step by step, Well when I replaced my
wiring I noticed this and wired it correctly.

I hope this helps,

Juan
