We're all saying about the same thing. I would not discourage
someone from getting a 2A board -- just don't do it for the wrong
reason.

If you like dabbling, figuring things out, and have talent in a broad
range of disciplines: go for it. But (as someone said) you become the
engineer.

If you just want to sling chips and don't fall into the above
category: then buy (as much as you can afford) pre-assembled AND
TESTED.

Finally, I mentioned SPEED. You are all right -- A lot of things
affect performance, and I should have not jumped to conclusions on
the 2A board. Remember -- I said I liked it.
