The combination of surface speed and viscosity of the oil creates a
hydrodynamic wedge that allows the surfaces to ride on a pressurized oil
layer. A screw/nut combination wouldn't be moving at sufficient speed
to create this effect unless you went with a very heavy oil, and maybe
not even then.
