If you want 5axis and already understand C then EMC is a logical choice.
The low end commercial stuff I've looked at seemed to have more bugs than
the hobby stuff most of us use. Pay yourself the $15K to learn EMC. The
best service reps are right here on this list and they don't charge $115 an
hour for their advice.
