BDI is a complete install ie: format! But don't let that stop you ! I
didn't do a dual boot setup so I can't help you there. If you can go
with a 500 celaron cpu, (50 bucks) 100 for a m board and 128 meg that
would set you up. By all means go with what you got. The first thing
to go is screen updates, (mouse pointer movements will be too slow).
But a quick fix is to run at least 128 meg on board, takes a big load
off the CPU and graphics. Make sure you change your ini file to refect
this. Linux will know the change but EMC finds this info though the
ini file. During a BDI install also make sure you pick 8 bit color and
no more than 800x600,... less load on the system.

Sometimes my mill will come to a brief halt, but only if I'm fiddling
with the back ploter screen.
