Hi,
You should be able to install a DOS partition using fdisk from a terminal
window - the linux version of fdisk that is, not the DOS version. Open a
terminal window and type fdisk /dev/hda (or whatever the ident of the hard
drive is where you want to put the partition. If you then type m, you should
get the help menu and I think it gives you the option of resizing an
existing partition and adding another which you select as type FAT, or FAT16
or FAT32. An alternative is to use one of the boot sector utilities which
you can find at www.bootdisk.com - MBRWORK and Techworm are two which spring
to mind. To use these, you make a DOS 6.2 boot disk with the image from this
site and boot the machine into DOS, then run the utility and make the
changes to the partition table. Hopefully, you should be able to change
things without affecting your existing installation.
Best wishes,
Ian

Would someone cover for me the brief procedure for installing a DOS
partition in aLinux box?
