Ummm, I wasn't thinking editing, so much as tunable to the machine being used.
For instance, giving it good working feed/speed numbers for two or three
different materials, or grades of material, and having it set up a table of
reasonable feed/speeds for all sorts of materials _on_that_machine_. Different
machines, result in different numbers. Editing would be for fine tuning it.
