Jan,
I wasn't familiar with the Turcite material you mentioned, so I
checked the net. It appears that it comes in solid form, and has to be
machined and threaded. A while back. I was pointed to www.phillycast.com web
site, to a product they make called Super Alloy, which is castable, and
probably an easier way to form threads onto a lead-screw. You can get more
info on this material from Les Watts, one of the very knowledgeable members
of this group.
