The Bridgeport manual says: 1-6, 2-8, 3-5, 4-7. So, you have the right
polarity. I don't know why Superior says differently, unless, the above
numbering sequence is strictly for Bridgeport machines. Oh, also,the
manual says that motor direction can be reversed by interchanging terminals
#1 & #3.
