I have an old Dyna-Myte 2400 CNC mill that has had the motors and all
electronics removed from it. It seems to be a pretty nice machine, although
somewhat small. Has anyone done a retrofit of one of these? I plan on using
servos and Gecko 320 or 340 drives. I believe the screws were driven by the
stepper motors through some sort of a gear arrangement, but since I don't
have the original parts, I don't know. Looks pretty straight forward to
build some motor mounts and drive the screws with timing belts and pulleys,
but I thought I'd ask in case someone knows some gotchas with these
machines, or if someone has motor mounts allready designed they would be
willing to share.
