I'm sorry Robert... Boy Am I dumb ! It wasn't because of using non
conductive materials at all. It was because on that machine we did huge
amounts of diamond drag engraving ! The stupid diamond was non conductive !

That is what is was. The puck would otherwise work on anything else
because the Controllers "input" line for the function conected to the
puck, grounded itself thru the spindle and tooling. If you are currently
"close" to MC or had been a few years back, a company name I could
mention might ring a bell. We literally had a MC horror story. They
fixed us up as well as could be expected and I'd bet there were people
getting a good yelling at at the plant over that event !

None the less, if the *Controller software* does not have the function,
No "programable" Pendant at this level will be able to tell it to run
the routine. If it does, then the Pendant could be configured to make it
work.
