when you look at the design, try to also leave room for a stepper and
some sort of leadscrew.

the torch head control would monitor the plasma volt/amps and
continuously adjust the torch head to keep it in the sweet spot for
optimum operation.

a lift is great for moving parts, and a manual height adj is good to
set it for different part heights, but an automatic control would be
the optimum.
