Hi Luis,
The maximum you should run the Xylotex drive at is 2.5Amps. I
had a customer that wanted to do some destructive tests. He ran the
drive at 35V and 2.5A, with no fan. After a while the drive quit.
Althought the drive has built-in overheat shutdown circuitry,
continuous cycling through overheat/shutdown can destroy the drive.
If you need 4 amps, stick with the Gecko. The Xylotex drive is
just not built to handle that much current.
From your questions here on CAD_CAM, it seems to me that my drive
is not a solution for your application.
