I was thinking water = hydrogen and oxygen and electrolosys frees the
hydrogen......

I guess I just tossed in carbon for the fun of it.

I did get black stuff which I am assuming is the removed metal.
copper electrode on brass and copper electrode on steel, both offered
a nice black effluent.

Currently, I'n not set to rotate the electrode, but got a neat 4 rpm
motor out of an old fax machine last night. the possibilities are
endless !
