If it used to work, then the problem is not your water.
Precision water edm drils use DeIonized water at specific conductivity.
90% of edm drill mfctd in Taiching Taiwan (center of cheap edm universe)
use water out of tap, very much like yours.
1st thing for edm drills is flush, if you're pushing it thru a tube, make
sure
the chuncks are smaller than thte tube, then smaller than the gap. If you're
just 'peeing' onthe side of the tool, make sure you 'peck drill' and dont
expect very high dia/depth ratios.
microscopic advance? distance has nothing to do with it on front end, its
only a result.
the proper position at >now< may be above or below the last position. The
distance may be
infitesimal or huge (a couple thousandths). what matters is the voltage
between anode & cathode,
not distance. Distance is an output of the process not an input. doesnt seem
reasonable? well thats
