We built settling pans for wire edms, usings nested pans where the slow
moving water had to
exit one pan by flowing over its edge into the next. Particulates settle out
rather than go over
the edge when the flow is slow. So, a baffle will do the trick , given enuf
baffles, slow enuf
velocity but high enuf volume makes a simple solution. Worked better than
specialized
sub-micron filters!
