True, there are points to each approach.
Older laptops are dropping in price continually making them attractive.
They are also more susceptible to metal chips and dust.
I have written software for the PIC in the past, so I'm aware of it's features. It would
probably not be my choice for a stand alone unit, but that's a matter of personal preference.
