Yup, If you wants 10 : 1 in two steps, yer needs a 5 : 1 feeding a 2 : 1.
Better yet, a 4 : 1 feeding a 5 : 2 (always more efficient, when ratios are
close, and use a large enough wheel for the smallest one). Doesn't matter
if you're talking diameters, or teeth.
