You are right about it getting more complicated. For multiple pulses
per rev, you need the encoder output as well as an encoder index ouput,
so you know when you are at pulse #1 for the revolution. Thus far 1
pulse per rev does everything we need, so we'll keep using it as such.
Using the index pulse isn't a big deal, but you need an encoder with an
index output and you need to wire another channel into the controler and
PC. OR you could have an index tooth on the encoder gear that is much
bigger or smaller than the regular teeth and find pulse 1 with that.
Again, not too much difficult, but why bother ? If/when I need it, I'll
add it.
