TurboCNC is a good system -- built by a couple of great guys. I've never
run a machine with it but have heard good things from several who have.

Emc also uses separate home switches for most servo setups. We thought
that it would be more efficient to pile them onto one pin for all six
motors but this could rather easily be separated out by a bit of code
work.

EMC does save offsets, all eleven sets of them. And you can edit or copy
files while EMC is working;)
