Turbo CAD is a mediocre cad drawing program. I think the cheap version just does
2D. If thats the case, I'd go with AutoScetch instead.

Rhino 3D is a NURBS modeling program. It allows you to draw just about anything
you can dream up in real time 3D space. When it comes to 3D modeling, it doesn't
get much better than Rhino.

The other program you'll need is a CAM program. You can import 2D DXF files into
Mach2, but for 3D, you'll need something to generate the G code. You could fraw
your 3D part in Rhino and save it as a STL file then open it in a CAM program and
generate the G code.

For CAD/CAM programs, Dolphin, Vector seem to the most popular. I use Vector. I
also use Artcam, which is a nice program but a bit pricey.

For just CAM, there is Visual Mill and DeskCNC. I'm sure there are others, but these
are the ones that get talked about the most.
