Drawing software & CAM - Plasma Cutting with Visual Mill

Hi Bob,
Yes, I know you're a dealer for VM and also very active with marketing
the THC goodies for Mach2 - which I'll be needing in due course. I have
been a VM user (full version) since version 2.5 and have seen the
product get better and better with each release - as have my CAM
skills. The basic version is an excellent value for newcomers to the
CAM field - probably best suited if they are using solid (or surface?)
modeling software for their CAD. But I'm sure it's fine for dxf files -
I just haven't done that very much.
I had posted the same question on the Mecsoft User Forum but no-one
replied that they were plasma cutting with VM. I've looked at the
profiling controls and am pretty sure (99%) it will work just fine -
with the entry/exit controls in profiling and the chain motions
(together) control plus control of the post processor it should be
workable without any great stress. I'm also looking forward to trying
it when I get my table completed.
Cheers, Peter
