No, you most likely couldn't! EMC requires a REAL TIME kernel. This
requires patching the kernel source code and recompiling. It is extremely
tricky to get just any kernel to recompile after such extensive patches have
been applied. The patch kit must be an exact match to the kernel source
code and libraries.

Do you buy your new cars from the dealer's parts depeartment, one valve
spring at
a time? I sure don't do it that way!

Download the BDI-2.18 or perhaps the BDI-Live! CD, burn it to a CD with
the proper settings to make it an ISO-9660 bootable image, and go from
there.
Any other path will cost you a month, minimum, of aggravation unless you
are a REAL Linux GURU!
