Do you buy your new cars from the dealer's parts depeartment, one valve

Download the BDI-2.18 or perhaps the BDI-Live! CD, burn it to a CD with
the proper settings to make it an ISO-9660 bootable image, and go from
there.
Any other path will cost you a month, minimum, of aggravation unless you
are a REAL Linux GURU!
