Gecko 210s l- limited rapids

on 2004-08-20 18:41:13 UTC
Sigma motor, 9 amp, Gecko 210 set at 200 steps per revolution with 7
amp max power. Motors wired in half winding mode. There is no
excess mechanical load. Power supply 75 volt 16 amp. 2:1 reduction
with 5 pitch lead screw. Using Galil motion control board. Still
only about 30 ipm maximum before stalling.

Everything seems to be working fine at lower speeds. How can I
pursue the possibility of getting some better axis motor speeds from
these drives?

I expected even greater rapids than the 100ipm the Boss 6 had before
the retrofit, according the sales pitch I was given...

Thought I'd ask one more time.
