If you don't have the "G201 Rev 5 Installation Notes" from Gecko,
download it from their G201 web page. (There's a dead link to a
"coming soon" pdf file, but one of the links gets you a 3 page document
with all the info on jumpers, etc.)

From that document, there is an 8-pin jumper block on the main board
(this would be the lower board on a G210).

There is probably a jumper on 2 to 6, which is enabling the
standby current reduction. Normal mid-band damping has a
jumper from 7 to 8. For a size 42 motor, you should move jumper
from 3 to 7. You still want to adjust the damping pot for minimum
vibration when running the motor at a speed of about 15 RPM.
