Hi Doug,

I don't think it's exactly that. The DB cutouts are not exactly simple,
an you're making a cutout to accommodate a part that often is pressed
together.

The "edges" of the DB shell have "fillets" to the main flange, How much
clearance to use? And the cutout runs right up against the two mounting
holes. Also observe that the two sides slope, and the corners have
radiuses. Not real easy to measure the DB shell exactly!

Different manufacturers make their housings "just a little different",
so it's hard to know what is best. Panel thickness matters as well.

I managed to make up my own for DB25, 15, and 9's that I use. Workable,
yes, with the connectors I use most (Cannon removable pins). I've
shared mine before.

Check manufactures of connectors, some have useable drawings.

Between DB25's and the other sizes, the "ends" are all the same, just
the center-center distance between the holes are different. Just
"stretch" the drawings for other sizes.

Draw the parts in CAD, generate the toolpaths, or do it manually using
grid paper. Actually a good exercise for beginning CNC programmers!

I have uploaded the DB25 info I have to the files of the SherlineCNC
list, as I have no privileges to upload here. See "DB Connector info".
