Re: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Huh, wanted Gcode files...??????

Well guys, I must clarify what I am doing. Basically I am writting a text
processing program for gcode. This software is not intented to be
incorporated in to turbocnc but rather a stand alone program generator.
There are many things such as feed rate, cutter size, spindle on/off,
coolant on/off , home , straight moves etc. that can be plugged in via
character subsitution in a vanilla version of the code. Let say the
following code G1 Y2.75 cuts one side of a pocket. The only change to the
portion of the code Y2.7 necessary would be changing the 2.7 to the required
dimension such as 3.850 By simply dimensioning the pocket, its material,
depth of cut, the text processor could used predetermined tables for feed
rates based on cutter size, and depth of cut. It could also duplicate the
code for climb milling the part and shave off .005 for the finished part
dimension. Tool paths can also be done this way.The software to do this is
really quite simple. The problem I face is using bullet proof routines to
achieve these goals. Well thats a summary for an old keyboard puncher.
