You may very well be right. However not knowing how to program or
being a beginner, is not a sin. To be honest I've learned more by
reading other peoples code than I've ever learned in school.

It is interesting that we have had so little in the way of new
development with respect to Gcode. CNC has changed very little in the
last few years relative to the rest of the programming industry. It
would be fantastic if the controls industry could move away from Gcode
to a more object oriented approach. Then we could have online
repositories for CNC machines that emulate the many code repositories
that are available on the net. That would be a tremendous time saver.

I suppose one could do that with Gcode as it currently stands but much
of that code seems to be machine dependant. Even at that I've
learned a great deal from the little bit of code that I have found on
the net. The only problem I see with the question is that I do not
have a example to submit.
