I do to. But I think the better approach is to get the "PC Desktop
Monitor" out of the shop, not all monitors in general. AcuRite has a
nice small monitor in a reasonable metal box, with a few keys alongside.
This if fine for me, in fact better than an LCD display because it can
be bright enough and seen from many angles.

There are small box monitors but they are all in the industrial strength
catalogs and cost more money that Ive spent on the whole system. You see
small TV monitors around- I saw a couple at a flea market yesterday that
were about a 9"cube, but they are TV, not VGA.

How hard would it be to take one of these TV monitors and switch the
electonics with one out of an old small VGA monitor and make an
industrial monitor?
